Because we know that putting technology into schools won’t have as great an impact without also supporting teachers with professional development and other resources, the MyTech program includes an investment in digital coaches. The money for these digital coaches comes from mill levy funds that were passed by Denver voters at the same time as the 2016 bond.
MyTech schools receive a part-time digital coach. These digital coaches are hired and trained centrally then assigned to each school to help teachers integrate technology into their classrooms in order to make the most of the student devices. This half-time position is used by the school in support of their professional development plan.
